The MICROtrac is a microprocessor based feed and bleed toroidal conductivity controller designed to control conductivity and feed inhibitor in cooling tower systems. Featuring innovative toroidal sensor technology, the MICROtrac provides an economical control platform that is not susceptible to sensor fouling and never requires calibration!

Principle Operation
The MICROtrac measures the conductivity of the cooling tower recirculating water via a toroidal conductivity sensor. The controller activates two independent relay outputs based on a bleed and feed mode of operation. When the conductivity measurement goes above the user defined set point, the two relays are activated until the conductivity drops below the set point and the fixed differential value, or until the user programmable limit times for feed or bleed are exceeded.

  • Simple User Interface - A large LCD display and simple programming via a three-button interface make the unit extremely easy to set up and program. With no calibration required and a fixed differential, all that needs to be done is to program a conductivity set point and, if desired, the limit times for the feed and bleed relays.
  • Easy Installation - Optional pre-wired receptacles for the relays and an optional pre-wired flowswitch make installation a breeze.

The MC9200 Series Controller is a microprocessor based controller of recirculating cooling water systems. The MC9200 accurately controls the level of dissolved solids based on µS/cm, and depending on model selection, control conductivity and pH.

The MC9300/9500 Series Controllers are a microprocessor based controller of recirculating cooling water systems. The controllers provide the ability to accurately control the level of dissolved solids based on µS/cm, and depending on model selection, control conductivity, pH, ORP and cycles of concentration based on the conductivity of the system make-up water.

The controllers feature:

  • Up to four user selectable timers that will operate in any one of seven modes.
  • A manually entered data collection field with ten user defined fields and units, stored in the controller's history (downloadable with PULSAworks software).

Pulsafeeder DCS900 Series Controllers

Pulsafeeder DCS900 Series Controllers

The DCS900 Series controller is designed to control conductivity and feed inhibitor in open-air cooling towers and closed loop systems. It measures the conductivity of the recirculating water and activates a 'bleed' relay output (typically attached to a solenoid activated blow down valve) when it exceeds a set point value. A second relay (typically attached to a chemical metering pump) is activated to feed inhibitor into the tower.

Two Models Available

DCS 901 - Timer Version. The inhibitor relay is activated by the user configurable selectable timer (limit, percent or percent post bleed). The timer provides protection from overfeed by limiting the time that the inhibitor feed relay will remain active.

DCS 902 - Water Meter Version/ In addition to the selectable timer feature, the inhibitor relay can also be activated by pulse input generated from a water meter. Water meter input can be user configured for standard dry contact or hall effect.

Operating Benefits

4-Electrode Conductivity Sensor. New electrode technology enhances the accuracy and stability of the conductivity measurement providing a greater level of control within your application.

DIN Connections. Sensor and water meter input connections utilize IP 67 rated DIN connector, eliminated the need to access the internal electronics during installation.

Standard Flow Switch. All systems include a flow switch that protects your system from feeding chemicals in the event of a loss of flow.

Optional Panel Assembly. Select the mounted flow assembly and the entire controller and flow assembly comes conveniently mounted onto a rugged polyethylene panel for easy installation.
