Special Applications

Interface Level

Interface Level switches are built to monitor or control the liquid level interface of two liquids with different specific gravity values. A common application is oil and water in the same tank. Because oil is lighter than water it will collect on top of the water. An interface float is weighted to sink through the oil and float on the water to monitor what is called the interface level. Another float which will float on the oil can be used to monitor the rising oil level and signal an alarm or start a pump to remove the oil.

Standard interface floats are .91 specific gravity ...other weights available upon request.

Teflon - FL-1500 Series

This series is an example of INNOVATIVE product development. All wetted parts are made of Polytetrafluoroethylene, commonly known as Teflon. Teflon provides exceptional chemical, mechanical and thermal properties for a multitude of applications. If your application requires high purity or is highly corrosive to stainless steel, brass, polypropylene or PVC, then the FL-1500 may be the answer to reliable liquid level switching.

Maximum Temperature: 450° F
Maximum Pressure: 200 PSI

Bracket Mounted Switches - BLS-270 Series
Bracket mounted for easy installation. Water tight, six foot electrical cable. Slosh shield float protection eliminates problems with turbulence. Stainless Steel Bracket, Lexan Shield, PVC Cable.
Maximum Pressure: 150 PSI Standard Contacts: 25VA SPDT
Aluminum Fuel Switches AFS Series
The AFS series is ideal for use as a low level fuel switch in mobile equipment. A Buna-N Float is housed in a light weight aluminum slosh shield to prevent switching due to turbulence. The unit is available in three switch configurations.

External Bottle Switches - EBS Series

External Bottle Switches with Mounting Brackets Solve More Installation Challenges!

Liquid Level Control & Indication

Level Keeper Indicator Boxes Series

LKI boxes are a convenient solution for liquid level Indication and control. An engraved LED indicator panel is set inside an attractive polycarbonate Nema-4x enclosure. User selectable outputs for pump control and alarms makes the LKI series a versatile companion to any multilevel sensor.

o Weather Proof Enclosure
o 12VDC Power
o Two User Defined SPDT 3A Outputs
o Monitor up to Six Levels in a Tank

Simple-Site Indicators Series

These units provide an easy to read indication of level information. There is no liquid in the indicator tube. A highly visible indicator which is outside the liquid follows a float which is in the liquid to provide an accurate location of liquid level.

Switch Points are available along the length of the unit for alarms and/or controls.

Tube fittings or Flange Connections are available for convenient mounting to the outside of a tank.

Liquid Level Tape Measure LLTM-2000 Series

These convenient units are ideal for storage tanks and transportable containers. The LLTM-2000 units are easy to operate and offer a closed system solution for containers which are transported frequently.

A liquid level reading is taken by slowly pulling the tape out of the housing. When the liquid level point is reached, the tape locks-in at the position of the internal float. The level measurement is then read directly off the tape measure. After a reading is taken, the tape is securely stored in the housing.

Units are available up to 60" long in Stainless Steel, Brass and Buna-N or PVC.

All units are 2" NPT mounted with 2" diameter floats.
